Paris-Jallobert Paul - Lot 301
Paris-Jallobert Paul Survey of the old parish registers of Brittany. Rennes, Plihon - Hommay, 1895/1913. 18 volumes in-8°, modern binding, brown half-basane, smooth spines with nerves, gilt author, gilt title and tomaison. Insolated spine for the first 16 volumes, volume 17 was bound late in the style of the first ones. This series contains more than 200 fascicles of parish registers (baptisms-marriages-burials) of the communes of Ille et Vilaine and Côtes d'Armor. Some communes mentioned in the typed table at the beginning of volume 1 are missing, but the publisher himself mentions that these fascicles are missing from his collection. Begins in volume 1 with Acigné and ends in volume 18 with Vitré. Beautiful and rare together, the covers of each fascicle have been preserved. We enclose from the same author a booklet bound in-8° entitled : les cardinaux de Bretagne, published in Saint-Brieuc by Prud'homme in 1887. We also enclose a small booklet in-16, in full Havana percaline, the eulogy of Paris-Jallobert pronounced by Frain on February 17, 1905.
