DUSSEAU Michel, Pharmacy. Enchirid, or manipul des miropoles - Lot 75
DUSSEAU Michel, Pharmacy. Enchirid, or manipul des miropoles summarily translated and commented according to the Latin text, by Michel Dusseau apothecary, formerly guard-judge of the Apothecary of Paris: for the inerudits and tyrocles of the aforementioned state, in the form of theory. 1 small volume in-quarto, full modern vellum in imitation of Dutch covers. Author handwritten title on the back. Lyon Jean de Tournes 1561 (Original Edition). The work consists of three parts, a conclusion and a table [194-[10] pp.] The first part is devoted to the preparation of simple medicines, the second part to pharmaceutical operations or "manipulations", with in particular a study of the "office of apothecaries", and finally the last part is reserved for the preparation of compound medicines. At the end, an appendix dealing with the equipment used by apothecaries. A fine copy except for some soiling on a few pages in the margins, a small marginal wetness in the first quire. Ex-libris Henry Bouloy pharmacist in Paris. Rare and sought after work.
