French 4/4 violin from Mirecourt from the second half of the XIXth century, from the Jules GRANDJON workshops, bearing a label Antonius Stradiuarius .1714. Spruce top with very thin rings in the center and widening on the edges, one-piece maple back with irregular waves sometimes horizontal, small old wormholes filled in, sides of the same wood matching the back, reddish-brown fat varnish with yellow underglaze, 360 mm, minor fractures of the top and neck foot accident repaired, various varnish accidents and scratches, good condition in an old case.
