Mireille. Paris Librairie Hachette, 1884. 1 volume in folio in full tan morocco, cover decorated with colored mosaics of flowers and birds. Spine decorated with gilt author, title and fleurons, accompanied by small mosaics of red roses. Gilt filleting on the edges, guilloche headband, gilt framing on the inside covers, all edges gilt on witnesses. Binding signed Chambolle Duru. Spine slightly oiled, some very slight wear. Copy no. 26, one of 150 printed on Japon paper. A very fine copy, free of foxing, enriched with 3 watercolors by José Roy, signed and bound in the header. A deluxe edition with 72 compositions by Eugène Burnand, including 25 original etchings with Mistral's beautiful frontispiece portrait, 12 large color lithographed frames after watercolors by H.L. Pallandre and 12 cartouches by H. Scott.
