Blanc Charles - Rembrandt The complete works of Rembrandt. Paris, chez Gide, libraire éditeur, 1859. 2 volumes in-8° bound in full cherry calf, ribbed spine with green basane title-pieces and black for the tomaison, gilt head. Used rubbing, spines sunned, small leather tears on tomaisons. Interior very clean, no foxing. E.O. For this catalog raisonné. Rembrandt's work is reproduced in intaglio by Léopold Flameng or in woodcut by Antoine-Alphée Piaud. The 40 etchings are printed on China paper and mounted on vellum. Autograph signed letter from the author "à Monsieur Sainte-Beuve de l'académie française, hommage affectueux, Charles Blanc".
