Dhodro banam. Wooden, bowed-string musical instrument. A kind of simplified sârangi consisting of a partially open resonance body with a skin covering the lower part. The pegbox (kalas) is decorated with a peacock. The handle (murra) is carved with a geometric design. Wood with wear patina and metal applique. Height: 60 cm. India / Nepal.
