Mamuli. Ear ornament decorated with filigree and granulations. This traditional piece of jewelry represents the female sex. This is a male version, as the female version, devoid of decoration, does not have the "feet" which are placed on either side of the opening. Here, two figures are shown feeding two birds. Brass. Dimensions: 9.5 x 9.5 cm. Sumba Island. Former Stéphane Martin collection, Paris. It is reported that this ornament was a gift from Jean-Paul Barbier.
