Folding yacht table. - Lot 204
Folding yacht table. Honduras-type blond mahogany top, surrounded by anti-roll edges. The removable top is attached to the hinged leg by a pivoting crosspiece. One of the legs bears a plate engraved "HELENE - U Y F". UYF for Union des Yachts Français. Top: 116 x 61.5 cm. Height 75.5 cm. Note 1) "HELENE" was banker Paul MIRABAUD's very large 51-meter mixed steam yacht, on which Marcel Proust is said to have embarked in 1904 for the DINARD / GERNESEY crossing. Note 2) Union des Yachts Français became the Yacht Club de France in 1901.
