Beautiful oriental saber, "à la mameluk", blond horn plate hilt, double chain guard, two straight quillons chased with flowers and two aurillons decorated with flamed flower urns, curved blade with flat back and counter-edge
inlaid with gilded motifs of moons, oriental busts and stars.
Velvet-covered wooden scabbard with three fittings and a chased brass strap, engraved with repoussé decoration of foliage, flowers and lion's heads.
GOOD CONDITION. Circa 1830/1840.
