Officer's sword model 1817 with chasing, sheathed wooden spindle, chased bronze mount, single-branch hilt, rooster keyboard on bundle of flags, pump counter keyboard engraved "le 25 juillet 1837 au Capne Thomas la 4e comp 2e Bon 1ère légion". Straight blade with median ridge (pitting). Scabbard, (damaged), with two brass fittings. With silver-plated lanyard. Circa 1830/1848.
