Very fine late 19th-century French cello from Mirecourt by Charles Jean Baptiste COLLIN-MEZIN, bearing its original label with the vintage of 1886, and his large pencil signature on the back, spruce top with fine regular rings in the center and widening on the edges, two-piece back in very fine maple with small, well-marked regular waves, slightly descending on either side of the joint, ribs in the same wood matching the back, yellow-orange gilded varnish with a few scratches and small accidents, 755 mm, very good condition and complete, ready-to-play set-up, in a hard case.
