The front of this dagger is superbly decorated with incised geometric motifs, perhaps representing stylizations of yam plants and interconnected spirals. Non-CITES cassowary bone with strong patina of use. Length: 35 cm. Melanesia. Papua New Guinea. Upper Sepik. Swaggup / Ngala region. Label number 99.
