Koran Ottoman Empire, 19th century Arabic manuscript on paper, 15 lines of text per page in black ink in naskhi script within a gilded frame and red fillet. Double frontispiece illuminated in polychrome and gilded. Sura titles in white on a gilded background in colored frames. Gilded end-of-verse rosettes. Marginal polychrome floral medallions. Bound in brown morocco leather, with stamped and gilt decoration of a central mandorla and spandrels.
