Half-moon chest of drawers in rosewood, violetwood and amaranth marquetry. Slightly recessed in the center, it opens with two drawers and three narrow drawers in the waistband, the sides with a pivoting drawer and door. Resting on four tapered fluted legs. Decorated with filleted geometric motifs, the central part features a mythological scene. Rich ornamentation of chased and gilded bronzes: leafy friezes, water-leaf moldings, branches, ram-headed falls, fluting and asparagus tips. Ribboned Campan marble top. Louis XVI style - circa 1830-1850 (accidents to the veneer, bronzes to be refixed, lock missing from top middle drawer).
