DRAGEOIR in gilt silver (800). BELGIUM, 19th century (large guarantee 1831-1868). Standing on a circular pedestal bordered by a frieze of water leaves, with four winged lion feet. The cut-crystal body is encased in a plain-bottomed mounting with four scrolled flower uprights and two horn-of-abundance scrolled handles ending in ram heads devouring fruit. The domed lid is surmounted by a burst fruit-shaped grip on a leafy terrace. Marked. Swan-tested. Height 21 cm; Width 20 cm; Net weight 467 g.
