An early 20th century French 4/4 violin from the J.T.L workshops, bearing a "T.J. HOLDER luthier PARIS 1922" label, spruce top with fine irregular rings, two-piece maple back with small, tight, almost horizontal waves, ribs of the same wood on mesh matching the back, shaded orange-gold varnish, small scratches, varnish chips and table fracture starting from the nut to be repaired, good condition, 360mm in an old wooden case.
