1 volume in-4 in sheets in a blue moiré cloth-covered folder and slipcase with gilded decoration on the first cover. Illustrated with 20 original copperplates, 16 of them full-page, by Salvador Dali. Only 294 copies printed. 1 of 25 copies on Japon nacré paper, N° 14/29, after 4 copies containing an inked copperplate.
A very rare copy including a black suite of hors-texte on ivory silk, a black suite, a color suite and a sanguine suite. The 3 paper suites are on Japon Nacré paper. Only the full-page copper engravings, i.e. 16 engravings, were the subject of a suite. All the engravings on paper bear a dry stamp reproducing Dali's signature. 2 suites fit in the slipcase, the other two in rigid laced folders covered with white moiré fabric. A very fresh copy, with no foxing or wetness. Only 1 small defect, tiny lack of blue moiré at foot of spine of slipcase.
Collated set, text and plates, complete with 84 engravings, 5 x 16 plus 4 in the text. Copy countersigned in pencil by the artist below the false title and dated "69".
A sought-after work, especially on this paper and complete with its 4 suites.
