Provenance: former collection of Mr. and Mrs. Conan, merchants in Pleumeur-Gautier (22).
This avant-garde armchair, with its structure of solid oak "T"-section uprights and removable seat and backrest, features a typical Seiz Breur carving on the back, the quintessence of Joseph Savina's decorative repertoire.
The Musée Breton in Quimper preserves a chair with a similar design on the backrest, while the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Brest holds workshop tracings (poncifs) of the designs in the Joseph Savina collection.
