The paintings La Hisse and Le Prat are part of the "Conversation" series, and take us on a stroll along the banks of the Rance. Inspired by the river's eponymous landmarks, the paintings are loom-woven, bringing together Verre de la Rance (made from estuary sediments by Atelier Lucile Viaud) and textile threads recounting the textile history of the valley, renowned for its hemp and linen fabrics. La Hisse" brings together matte, hammered glass, linen and hemp, developing a motif that recalls the cracks in the site where the sediments used to make glass were stored. For its part, "Le Prat" finely develops textural and lighting effects visible at low tide, thanks to the combination of a moire' of threads and twisted glass ears.
