Yeun Elez (Monts d'Arrée marshlands and peat bogs) is part of a series on the fleeting beauties we encounter in our daily lives. We're sometimes seized by the beauty of a sky, by the details of a piece of bark. We'd like to keep these moments, capture the immaterial on our phones. The photo is always very disappointing. With this series, I revisit these moments of beauty. Each stitch of embroidery carries the breath of a cloud, the direction of a light. This work is influenced by the paintings of Emma Herland, Mary Piriou, whose subject was certain Breton coasts, and the Group of 7 in Canada, which illustrated immense nature.
