Below is an explanation of the dial:
The inscriptionHazrati Bahouddin Nackshband (the Latin script reappeared after Uzbekistan's independence in 1991) means "His Holiness Bahouddin Nackshband" (1317-1389, a contemporary of Tamerlan). He gave his name to one of Asia's most important Sufi brotherhoods. In the foreground, the mausoleum of Bahouddin Nackshband. In the background, the main building of the Nackshbandi memorial complex, which houses the mausoleum and is located 12 km from Bukhara, in the village of Kasri Orifon. This is the most important Muslim site in Central Asia, dating from the mid-16th century. It was restored in 1993, just after the independence of Uzbekistan, in honor of the 675th anniversary of the birth of Bahouddin Nackshband (Description by Mr. Victor MARTIN).
